The Auburn Municipal Airport (S50) is centrally located in the Puget Sound Area. The airport has easy access to major highways
including I-5 and is located near the junction of 18 & 167.

Auburn is approximately 20 minutes from Seatac International Airport by vehicle ( 30 minutes to Port of Seattle/ 20 minutes to Port of Tacoma).

The Auburn Airport is also known as Dick Scobee Field. Francis R. (Dick) Scobee was a NASA astronaut who was originally from Auburn WA.

Airport Operational Statistics
There are approximately 275 +/- airplanes based at S50. These include single engine; multi-engine and five helicopters. The Airport hosts 54 closed hangars and 91 open hangars. There are tie downs for approximately 130 aircrafts.

Additional Information
The airport is adjacent to a wetlands on Westerly perimeter. Birds and other wildlife frequent the area. High volume of flight training both fixed wing and rotocraft. Ulltralights and Hot air balloons are prohibited.
