Summary of Projects for 2006-2007

2006 Projects

  1. Taxiway lanes and ramp lines painted.
  2. Completion of the Auburn Flyer Condo III project at the South end.
  3. Repaired and installed new SE exit gate for open hangar tenant use.
  4. All AN-2 aircraft have been removed.
  5. Consultants were hired to evaluate and plan repairs for hangar rows9 and 10 roofs.
  6. Started final construction phase of remaining property at the North end of airport to be completed in January of 2007
  7. Segmented circle painted with high visability paint.
  8. Two meetings were held with FAA official and local pilots to evaluate and consider options for possible changes to traffic patterns used by rotorcraft. Results set to available in early 2007.
  9. A Master Busines Planning Committee was formed and completed . The objectives of the committee was to prepare, present and implement master business plan for growth and development of the Auburn Airport to the Mayor and Auburn City Council for approval.
  10. Landscaping projects completed and in progress .
  11. West-side access road began construction.
  12. Runway repairs completed; damage caused by multiple prop strikes.

2007 Project Ideas and Plans

  1. Plans for the taxiway improvements and construction beginning in 2008
  2. FAA publication of GPS approach plate scheduled for May 2007.
  3. Repairs to hangars Rows 9 and 10.
  4. Airport signage repairs and replacement.
  5. Web page updates.
  6. garbage and recycling program underway.
